But catching is one of the most complicated things we do as a young child. At first, kids have to catch ′against′ themselves. And as they get older, they can catch a ball with their hands. Getting used to one-handed catching takes some practice, which is just what these mitts are designed to do.

Features and Skills

• Begin using this Catch N Stick Monster Mitts toy by introducing your child to the small ball.  Teach him to throw overhand and underhand.  You can even set up targets with baskets or tape a big square on the wall to help develop the accuracy he will need for a smaller target
• Then, introduce him to the mitts.  First throw carefully to his target, giving him the confidence he needs to thoroughly enjoy the game.  You won’t believe his excitement at his first “catch”
• Do your best to catch his throws, however inaccurate them may be! 
• Once he gets better with his aim, challenge his accuracy by changing the position of your mitt.  See how many times he can actually hit it!

  Let's be honest - kids cant really catch or throw to good at this age. But these sticky mitts really work and the kids get a great sense of accomplishment. They can 'catch' the ball. And of course throw the ball. My only criticism is that the stickyness is so sticky (velcro) that my kid has a hard time pulling off the ball. But for $12, it's a darn good deal.
