    This is a great arts and crafts project. I actually bought this for my daughter because her pre-school class was having a luau party. She made it herself and was able to show it off to everyone at the party. Very cute!

    I actually bought this because my daughter was having a Hawaiian themed party at her preschool. So we made these together before the party. They are colorful and come with variety of pieces that way your child can create whichever they like. It was a hit at the preschool party.

  • Lace a Lei is a simple fun way to get those hands ready for skills they will need as they old like handwriting.
  • At the beginning, your child will practice the concept of "through" as he/she laces the string through one or two holes. This increases his/her hand-eye coordination and will come in handy as he/she learns to tie his/her own shoes.
  • Your child will learn how to match the color of the shapes with the color of the string. Or you can teach him/her about contrasting colors.
  • Help you preschooler string more of the holes while working towards lacing around the entire circle. This gives a sense of accomplishment and task completion.
  • When they are done making their lei the best part is they can wear it.  How cool!
