• Demonstrate for your toddler how a zipper works. In the beginning undoing the zipper will be much easier for your little one than zipping up. Try doing all the zipping up and letting your child do the zipping down, until he/she becomes more adept at the motion.
• Give these new actions names starting with just “up” and “down,” then add “zip up” and “zip down.”
• Again, unbuttoning and undoing the buckles will be easier at first. Concentrate on one or two actions each time with your child. You do the buttoning and buckling, and let your little one undo it.
• Tying Learn to Dress Monkey’s shoes will come with practice, but for now let your child untie the shoes
• There’s a great sense of accomplishment in watching those laces come unraveled and those buttons come undone. Your little one will enjoy setting the monkey free from his clothes and undressing him.
