Features and Skills

• Tub time is a great time to connect with your little one. Since you are both sitting there anyway, you can use the time for some fun and learning.
• Let your child explore toys and push them under the water to watch them bounce up. This teaches your little one the concept of cause and effect.
• Show the child how the hippos whistle when they get wet. You child will want to repeat this sound and your actions to get the whistle.
• At first your toddler will put the Whistling Hippos on any random floating tube. Review the colors of the hippos and the tubes with your little one. Soon he/she will be able to match the colors of the hippo with the corresponding tube and tell you the color. “Green hippo, green tube.”
• You can use the learning toy hippos to do different tricks as well. Teach your child early verbs by describing the actions as you play. For example, say words like up, down, swim, splash or even kiss.
