Features and Skills
- Take the characters and tracks out of the box and talk about Thomas, Molly, Percy and James. Have your child tell you stories about these characters.
- Talk a little about trains and train tracks. Which is your favorite train and why? Talk about the different train pieces – curved, straight etc.
- Explain the rules to him/her – how you have to make a track to the center of the board game by spinning the wheel. This game will take strategy on his/her part so that they can get to the center the quickest.
- Make this game a little more challenging for your little one. Have them only use 1 color track pieces instead of any color they want. That way they have to use even more strategy to win the game.
