Why our Child-Experts Love It
Edutile blocks is the most unique toy we have! They are super soft for small hands, durable and washable (for messy hands!). They are a great way for your child to learn his/her numbers while having FUN. The versatility of this toy also encourages your child to be creative! Do you want to make a flat mat, or a dimensional block?
Features and Skills
- In its simplest form these tiles combine to make a play mat for your little one to play on the floor. You can attach the pieces together in any number of shapes. These Edutile blocks are so versatile they're great for a 2 year old and up.
- To begin leave the numbers in the tile pieces and have your child practice his/her number recognition by jumping on the tile that has the number you call out.
- Then, take all the numbers out of the tiles. Ask your little one to hand you the tiles of a certain color, such as the blue tile, to practice color recognition.
- You can make a pattern by connecting the tiles of different colors together and ask your child which color tile would go next in the pattern, red, blue, red, blue, then red would go next.
- Use the tiles for pre-math. Count the numbers aloud for your child. You can practice ordinal numbers by putting the tiles together in a big line and using the words first and second.
- Another way to have your child practice counting is by adding another toy set, such as blocks. Have your little one try to put the correct number of blocks on the tile with the corresponding number. Two blocks on the number 2.
- As your toddler grows tired of the flat tiles, he/she can practice building three-dimensional cubes with the pieces. Can he/she crawl through the tunnel?
