Features and Skills

• The Roly Poly Shape Sorter will teach color, shapes, numbers, sounds, textures and cause & effect to your child. First start with just playing with the shapes that come with the shape sorter. Have your child hand you the blue square etc. This is just reinforcing their colors and shapes.
• Next, talk to your child about when they place the shapes in the correct spots, what happens. This process will reinforce cause & effect in your child.  Help them the first time and then let them put the shapes in all by themselves.
• Utilize the sorter as a game when your child gets older. Have some friends come over and you can makes cards for each shape. When it's there turn they can pick up a card and then match the card to the shape and then they have to place the shape in the correct spot in the sorter.  This is a great way to make an educational game from this toy.
