Our physical therapist, Deanie, loves the Rody because it's great at strengthening the core (stomach), helping with balance and getting kids to be more aware of their surroundings as they bounce around.

Overall, we tested lots of bouncing toys and rocking horses and Rody is the best...because it's an attractive, well-made blow-up horse that is totally unique and great for a child's physical development.

Use it with the base, and it's a new spin on the rocking horse! Without the base it is a super fun bouncing toy great for balancing and outdoor play. Parents love Rody too because hey, he's not too bad to look at when not in use!

EXPERT ADVICE: For LESS bounce, inflate the Rody LESS if you are buying for a younger child.

For a younger child get the base to make rody into a rocking horse.

    Great one-year birthday present
    Can't speak yet for durability, and I guess educational value is largely if not entirely kinetic/gross motor, but anyway, according to initial reports my one-year-old twin nephews love these. Even without the "Rody Base" rocker attachment. Bouncy, bouncy. And I was delighted with ebeanstalk's pro-active customer service. A pleasant company to deal with.

    Rody Horse
    I have heard that these Rody horses are very popular so I decided to get one. At first I was a little nervous about it. But it was a great investment because my 1 year old can use it until he gets a little older too. I bought the base with the horse too so it made it into a rocking horse. My son was able to rock back and forth with it and learn to balance himself. Now, he is bouncing all around the house with this rody horse. It is super cute too!

    Fun, safe and perfect for a little one.
    My 18month old granddaughter can't ride the "bullseye" rocking horse that her older sister and brother ride, so I got "Rody". This has solved the problem. She loves to ride the horse. Can manage it safely and doesn't feel left out any more.

    A fun toy as well as an added nursery aesthetic!
    I purchased Rody as a birthday gift for my twin nephews. They turned one (so were a bit young) but with a little assistance they love sitting on Rody and my sister says they greet him every morning (he is simply a good looking toy). With a little growth I expect they will Love him even more (if so I will add the rocking attachment).

    Rody's Are the best! My sister bought this for my son for his birthday and he never wants to get off. What is great is that you can buy a base with it so they can start rocking on the rody and gradually move on to bouncing all over. It is one of the best toys my son has received!
