  • With the Ladybug Shape Sorter your child will learn to sort the pieces by color and shape. First, take all the shapes off the board. Put them in a pile on the floor and begin by sorting them into groups by color.

  • Then sit with your little one and put the shapes on the pegs. At first your child may not put the shapes in the right spot. You can explain to him/her that you need to match the pieces to the shapes on the pegs.

  • As your child places the shapes on the correct color peg tell him/her the name of the color and shape he/she is holding.

  • Your child can also sort the pieces by grouping all of the shapes together, regardless of their color.
