Why Our Experts Love It
Mia has a dilemma that will be very familiar to some other kids out there. You get through Kindergarten and during the summer you get all excited to go back to school in the fall to see all your friends. But when you get back, you realize your best friends are not in your class! Oh no! We find books are a great way to open up the dialogue with your child about things that are troubling them. She will learn that she is not alone in her problems. Being disappointed and sad is OK. But she will feel better when she learns how Mia met new friends in her class and was able to make the best of her new situation. It will teach her how to identify what is making her sad and how to find a solution to make herself feel better. Now that's empowerment!
