Features and Skills

• The Color & Texture Puzzle  game develops your child's matching and problem solving skills. It also teaches colors, expands vocabulary and develops their sense of touch. This product is a great 2 year old toy.
• At first have your little one identify the names of the animals and the colors on the individual pieces as you hold them up.
• Sit with your child as he/she explores the different textures on the cards. You can describe the feel using the words which are printed on the card, such as fluffy or soft
• Help your child group the puzzle pieces into categories, animals, colors and textures. This will help him/her begin to recognize that like objects belong to sets
• Your toddler will begin to match colors with the objects or animals. Teach your child to put together short phrases to describe each, like "gray mouse."
• Show your child how to match the textures with the objects based on touch. Expand your toddlers use of adjectives as he/she strings together the words for the color, texture and object into a longer phrase, such as "shiny, rainbow fish."
