Why our Child-Experts Love It

Big Buzz E Bee is great for a newborn baby because this bee has so many activities on it that it will keep your little one busy for hours!

Features and Skills

  • Your child may begin by snuggling with this smiling bee. This can help comfort your child and give them a sense of safety/security.
  • Your child will begin to explore the different parts of the bee and starting with the crinkly wings and/or the antennae since these are easiest to grab on to with tiny hands. They may also put the ears in their mouths, as mouthing behavior is all a natural part of how a child learns about the world around them.
  • They will continue exploring the bees body parts – this is a good time to start labeling (eyes, nose, foot, etc)so that your child is exposed to basic vocabulary. You can also point to your childs body parts as you say them and turn it into an interactive game where your child vocalizes/reaches out etc. to indicate they want you to do it again.
  • Hide the bee in different places (behind your back, on one side of the childs head and then the other, etc.) and squeak the nose and this will help your child learn to localize sounds.
  • Peek-a-boo is a great way to learn object permanence – use the mirror on the bees foot. Or you can take a blanket and hide the entire bee under it.Better yet, hide your own face under the blanket and have your child reach out to find you!
  • Hone fine-motor skills by having the child pull the butterfly in/out of the Bees other foot.Label this action while they are doing it (in, out, more)
