Why we love it

We tested lots of "first board games" and this one is the best! It′s great for social interaction and teaching your little one how to take turns. We love the fact that the dogs bark and your child has to count the number of barks in order to move their puppy around the board...so unique! A great game to help develop listening skills as well. Picking up the dogs and the bones helps to develop the small muscles of the hands.

Features and Skills

• As far as learning toys go, taking turns is a great way to help your child learn positive social skills.  Before playing, assign an order so all players know when it is their turn.  Try to set up Diggity Dog in a clockwise or counter clockwise pattern so your child can predict whose turn is next.
• Give the dogs names.  Let your child be creative.  This will be good for developing flexible thinking, now the dog has a color identification AND a name.  Help your child remember the names and build their brain power!
• Use this opportunity to teach your child about magnets and how some objects repel and others attract.  All this and science, too!
