As far as learning toys go, taking turns is a great way to help your child learn positive social skills. Before playing, assign an order so all players know when it is their turn. Try to set up Diggity Dog in a clockwise or counter clockwise pattern so your child can predict whose turn is next.
Give the dogs names. Let your child be creative. This will be good for developing flexible thinking, now the dog has a color identification AND a name. Help your child remember the names and build their brain power!
Use this opportunity to teach your child about magnets and how some objects repel and others attract. All this and science, too!
