Open up the carrying case and let your child explore the different animal bowling pins. Ask your child to name each of the animals and practice making the corresponding sounds one by one.
Make a mini bowling alley. Set up the pins on one end and have your little one roll the ball towards them to knock them over.
Your child will have to practice a bit of patience as he/she waits to roll until you have the pins all set up.
Your child can practice identifying animals by telling you which ones fell and which are still standing.
Have your child practice describing the animals to you using colors, like the pink pig.
Begin teaching your child pre-math by showing him/her the numbers on the animals. The cow has a number one on her. You can also ask your child to count how many pins fell down when he/she rolled the ball. Ask your child to hold up his/her fingers to count how many pins were knocked down.
Your child will soon be able to set up the animal pins by themselves. Then, he/she will move to the other end, roll the ball and knock them down. You can challenge your child by having him/her set up the pins in different formations.
As your little one get older, he/she can practice setting up the pins according to the number on each. The cow is the one pin, it goes first. This will teach your child ordinal numbers, first, second, third.
