Features and Skills

• Lil Shopper Play set is a great intriguing toy to play with for a baby who is finally sitting up on his/her own, even if they are still teetering over a bit. Children love to pull items out of containers and then stuff them back in, which encourages fine motor skills
• Place the play set in front of your new upright sitter and surround your child with pillows. Encourage your child to reach inside the bag and pass the food from one hand to the other. This will help enhance balance in upright sitting
• Once your baby is more comfortable with sitting in place, move the bag slightly outside his/her base of support. This will help to strengthen the trunk
• Place the play set even further away so he/she has to push onto his/her arms to retrieve it, this will encourage your child to transition onto propped elbows on his/her stomach, or maybe even quadruped!
• Once your child starts to bear weight through extended arms, move it even further away to encourage crawling.
• This toy is so much fun that your child will still be interested in it once he/she is able to pull to stand at a low table. Encourage your child to use both hands to play with it and this will help standing balance

  Great for pretend play! If you have a classroom or a playroom this will definitely be a hit. I am a teacher at a daycare and my 3 year olds loved this shopper playset. We took this playset and talked about the different foods that were in the bag and why each were important and the different colors each had. It was fun and educational!

  This item was a gift for my one year old daughter, and my other children have enjoyed it as well, if not more. They are 3, 4 1/2, and 8. The toys are holding up to all their use, and the reusable shopping bag lets her copy Mommy.
