Gradually he will start to prop up on elbows – encourage him to reach out with one hand at a time and shift his weight from elbow to elbow
Pretty soon your child will be sitting. Place the toy slightly out of reach to encourage the child to transition from a sitting position onto his stomach or maybe even on all fours.
Once your child is able to maintain a quadruped position (on all fours), once again place the toy out of reach and encourage your child to crawl towards it.
Pretty soon your child will be rolling it on the floor and racing to catch up to it.
