Features and Skills

• This brightly colored train will help develop pre-math skills. At first your child will drive the train pieces of the Number Express along the floor. Choo-choo!
• Help your child put the puzzle pieces of this toddler toy together with the numbers still within each train car. Say each number aloud. Show your toddler how the cars go together in order according to the number on each car.
• Your little one will practice their fine motor skills by putting the pegs in the holes at random. As they pick up a peg, call out that peg's color and encourage your child to find the train car with the matching color.
• Separate the number pieces from the train cars and ask your child to place the number in the right spot. This is a tactile way for your little one to practice using numbers.
• As number recognition improves, your child can stack the pegs up so that the number of pegs corresponds to the train car number. For example the number two car has two pegs.
