We love the safe, magnetic, jumbo sized pieces for small hands. Any child can start to learn how to spell and count with this fun, colorful set.

Features and Skills

• These big magnets are the perfect size for your little one to stick on the fridge as he/she learns his/her ABCs and 123s. Now he/she can expand him/her little mind while you cook dinner.
• Your child can practice putting the letters (or numbers) in order while singing the “ABCs.” Play a counting game by taking out five strawberries, having your child count them aloud and find the number five in the magnets.
• With all the excitement surrounding spelling bees these days, you may want to get him/her started early. You can use the ABCs to spell simple words and read them together. Then have your child make up a sentence using the word.
• Have your child sound out the letters. You can choose a letter and have him/her come up with a word that begins with it. Or if he/she gets stuck, suggest two words and have him/her choose the one in which one he/she hears the letter.  It will be a challenge to recall his/her letter associations without the visual clues of pictures.
• Many letter sets only have an upper case alphabet. Magnetic Poetry has both upper and lower case letters so your child can work on the recognition of both, matching them together and learning when to use each one.
• Challenge your child to use both numbers and words in a simple sentence. See if he/she can find the numbers and letters in a sentence you make up.
