Description

Features and Skills
- The Shape Sorter Gator will teach color, shapes and cause & effect to your child. First start with just playing with the shapes that come with the gator. Have your child hand you the yellow moon etc. This is just reinforce their colors and shapes.
- Next, talk to your child about when they place all the shapes in the correct spots and then press the gator mouth the shapes will "pop" out and they can start all over. This process will reinforce cause & effect in your child. Help them the first time and then let them put the shapes in all by themselves.
- Also take this opportunity to talk to him/her about alligators. Where do they live? What do they eat? This is a great toy to learn about alligators.
- Utilize the gator as a game. Have some friends come over and you can makes cards for each shape. When it's there turn they can pick up a card and then match the card to the shape and then they have to place the shape in the correct spot on the gator. This is a great way to make an educational game from this toy.
