Features and Skills
- Open the bucket for your toddler and let him/her dump the caterpillar pieces on the floor. Your child will develop him/her hand-eye coordination by picking up all the Caterpillar pieces and putting them back in the bucket.
- Show your child how two objects can be combined to make something different. Link two of the pieces together and let your toddler explore how this configuration is different from the single bead.
- Practice linking more beads together to make a big caterpillar.
- Take this opportunity to also go over colors with your toddler. Ask them to pick out the red pieces. See how they follow directions by asking them to start with the red head, then a green piece etc.
