They are sturdy yet light-weight, well-made blocks that will teach your little one about the alphabet in a fun way. Parents love them too because they are compact and store easily!

Developmental Hint:

Don't be surprised when the blocks get stacked and purposely knocked-over. Just so you know, it's a wonderful activity for the child to build, knock-it down, and build it again. It teaches so many things about dexterity, basic physics (how things stack) and cause and effect, I push a little

    These are cute and easy to store as they nest together but I was a little disappointed that they are made of cardboard. I don't think they will last very long.

  • Dump these blocks out onto the floor and let your child explore the different shapes and colors. Show your toddler the different pictures on the ABC Tot Tower blocks.
  • Demonstrate for your child how the blocks nestle inside of each other. They sort of "disappear" but then reappear. This teaches "object permanence" (the object exists even if it cannot be seen.) It also begins to show size relationships; the larger block holds the next size down.
  • Demonstrate how to stack the blocks one on top of the other with a steady base for balance. Begin by sitting and stacking two or three blocks, then as you add blocks your child will learn to stand up to reach the top.
  • Create a sense of bonding by getting down on the floor with your child and building a tower. Your child will giggle and giggle if you let them to knock your tower over. Demolition is almost more fun than construction!
  • As far as educational toys go, you are able to use the blocks to reinforce letter recognition. Review the letter of one block at a time with your child. Sound out the sound of the letter, then use it in the word that is pictured on the block. Speak slowly so he/she can hear the letter in the word.
