This puzzle is great for matching number to quantity, number identification, hand-eye coordination, and listening to the numbers as the puzzle pronounces each number when placed correctly.
First have your child count to 20. Have them count fingers and toes—how many in all 20. 10 finger, 10 toes.
hold a number in your hand and have your child guess which one you have (the number before 10, and after 8; what comes after 11)
Hide the pieces of the puzzle around the room and give hints as to where the number is and then placing it in its place.
Associate the number to age, birthdates, house number, sibling’s birthday and other significant numbers.
Count the objects under the number---associate it to other things around the house (Find me 8 blocks)
