The glow in the dark lasts for hours. My 10 yr old loves it. When we received the football it was low on air. We head to buy/find more needles to air it up. That's okay though. As far as educational attributes, it helps with hand eye coordination. We played so late one night we couldn't see our hands, depended on feel and it was a blast!
