Features and Skills
- At this age its much harder to catch a ball from the air than to throw it. You can play a starter game of catch with your little one by having him/her throw you the ball from a short distance, then you can roll it back for another throw.
- Throwing underhand uses a different set of muscles than overhand. You can encourage your child to throw it both ways. You may find that your child is more comfortable throwing one way or the other.
- These balls are great for kicking, too. They are hard enough to move quickly, but soft enough not to cause much damage.
- As your child grows stronger and more coordinated, try challenging his/her accuracy by setting up targets, such as goals to kick through and baskets to shoot into. This will help to develop his/her hand eye coordination.
