Being more mobile is a sign of your childs growing independence. At first your child will sit on the 4 n 1 Trike and have you push them around using the handle in the back.
As you push, help your little one practice steering so that he/she can learn to stay to the side of the road or sidewalk when they ride around the neighborhood. Have your child push the pedals along as your push the trike. This builds confidence and a great sense of accomplishment as they see how far they can go on the trike.
After your child gets more comfortable riding the trike, you can remove the handle and make this a regular tricycle.
Tricycles are a great social tool. Your child will want to meet his/her friends out around the neighborhood and ride bikes together.
Invite some children over for an obstacle course. You can give out ribbons for different accomplishments, like fastest ride, most balanced, slow and stylish.
