- Dinosaur Bingo is a great way to teach your child about taking turns and improve his/her social interaction.
- Review the names of the dinosaurs with your little one. That way each time one of the children spins, he/she can name and describe the dinosaur that the arrow is pointing to.
- You may also want to go over the concept of bingo with the children. Dinosaur Bingo is an excellent learning toy for teaching matching and task completion. Explain to your child that as the spinner lands on certain dinosaurs, he/she has to find that picture on his/her board. But if the spinner lands on the same dinosaur twice, then he/she doesn't get to fill in another square. Show him/her that the goal of the game is to fill in one straight row.
- Each new game, have a different child be the Bingo leader. This helps a child gain confidence in leading a group.
- Your child will want to learn more about dinosaurs. Take out a good dinosaur book from the library and read it together. Learn specific facts, like which are meat eaters and which are plant eaters. Next time you play Bingo try describing the dinosaurs, instead of naming them, to see if your child can guess which one it is.
