Features and Skills
- Dump these Tegu Blocks out onto the floor and let your child explore the different shapes. Your child will notice that some of the blocks are smaller and thinner than regular wooden blocks.
- Demonstrate how to stack the blocks one on top of the other with a steady base for balance.
- Create a sense of bonding by getting down on the floor with your child and building a tower. Your child will giggle and giggle if you let him/her knock your tower over. Demolition is almost more fun than construction!
- Soon your childs creativity will blossom as he/she builds towers on his/her own, in all sorts of new ways. Encourage him/her to build with a friend and practice sharing social skills.
- Encourage your child to experiment with structure and shape, utilizing the magnets within the blocks to defy gravity will make your child feel like a skilled architect.
- Help your child label the different types of building he/she builds. Ask them to tell you what they built. A castle? A tower? A firehouse? Use other educational toys you already have to elaborate on the scene and expand your childs imagination.
