Product Features

• When you first put your baby on their backs on this mat, your little one may feel over-stimulated with all the toys hanging over him/her. We recommend beginning by taking off the arches and using this as a blanket. Then you can slowly introduce the arches, along with the toys, one at a time.
• Get down on the floor with your child. Your baby will love to see you at his/her level encouraging him/her to bat and pull at the toys on the Activitot Tropical Isle activity gym. As far as baby learning toys go, this will develop fine motor skills, as well as visual abilities. Later, this eye-hand coordination will help with catching a ball and handwriting!
• Show your baby what the different toys do on the gym. Pull the monkey and hear his legs shake as they retract. Feel the crinkle paper. Wrap those little fingers around the links. Each toy has a different texture, color or sound. You may soon find that your baby has a favorite toy on the gym.
• You can place your baby on his/her stomach on the pillow for tummy time. When your child looks up to see the face in the mirror, he/she will also be strengthening neck muscles and improving head control.
• Tummy time will lead to the next milestone, which may be propping him/herself up on the elbows. Later your child will extend his/her arms and put weight on his/her hands. When your infant can manage these skills, hand your baby objects so the child will shift his/her weight and develop upper back and arm strength.
