• Your child will explore the textures on each page of the Touch & Discover Book. This helps them learn about the tactile senses in their environment.
• Your child may also explore by mouthing the book – this is a normal way that an infant learns about their environment. Don’t worry, the book is washable!
• The pop-up pictures, lights, and sounds can be used to develop cause-and-effect. Pretend to play peek-a-boo with the pictures by closing the book, say peek-a-boo and quickly open the page so your little one can see the picture. Your child will likely try and do it themselves the next time.
• Your little one will LOVE watching you press images with the bee in each new environment and seeing what happens! Then he/she will start doing it themselves.
• Take this book with you on your next family vacation and find the actual objects that match the pictures (i.e. kite). You can help foster your child’s ability to match pictures and objects.
• Spend time with your child reading to foster emotional bonds and to establish a bedtime and/or bath routine that incorporates this book and others.
