Peek A Boo Animal Puzzle

Description

Children will love matching each of the twelve animal grown-ups with the appropriate home or habitat. Once the puzzle is complete, a special surprise awaits them as they open a "magic door" to reveal a baby animal! For added fun, the animals can be separated into three distinct groups; household pets, safari animals, farmyard favorites.

Why we love it

The Peek A Boo Animal Puzzle is a great 1 year old toy because it is 2 games in one. First it is a great puzzle that matches animals with their surroundings, then it is a fun game of hide and seek with the animals.

Product Features

  • Before starting the puzzle, name all the animals and the sounds they make. Have your child point to the animals as you label them.Or ask them ‘what’s this?” or “what does a dog say?”
  • At first your child will need help with this puzzle, so give them only two or three choices to match at a time
  • Sing “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”; pause to let you child fill in the animal names and sounds
  • Model 2 word phrases to help expand their language (such as “little dog”, “big pig”)
  • Clean-up by having your child following directions (i.e. “put the dog away”)
