Product Features

There are quite a few pieces in this box, so we recommend starting slowly. Begin by giving the child five to eight pieces of this toddler toy at a time.
As your child puts the I Spy My House puzzle together, challenge your child's power of observation by describing the next piece in detail. If your child can't find the next piece from your descriptors, use location words so the child follows directions to find it (give an example).
Soon your little one will be able to complete the entire puzzle on his/her own by looking for the piece he/she needs next and placing it in the puzzle.
Play "I Spy" - when players describe the picture and the other players have to name what the object is first and then find the game piece that corresponds to it. This practices the use of descriptors when the child explains the piece and understanding and listening skills when the child looks for the piece.
Practice the child"s letter-word associations by playing a variation of the "I Spy" game. Describe what LETTER the object begins with, such as "I Spy something that begins with the letter A," then the player finds it.
You can play "I Spy" at home or on a long road trip without the game. It will make the child take much more notice of the world around him/her.
