Why we love it
Features and Skills
- Babies love to study faces, so they love to look in mirrors. Imagine their discovery the day they make the connection that the face they see in the mirror is his/her own. Get down on the ground, at your baby’s level and look into the Taggies Look At Me Mirror to encourage your baby to look back at you. Soon your baby will play peek-a-boo with himself/herself in the mirror and experience his/her moment of self-recognition.
- Put the mirror on the ground in front of your baby for tummy time. When your child looks up to see the face in the mirror, he/she will also be improving head control and strengthening muscles in his/her neck and arms needed for crawling.
- As your baby becomes stronger, he/she will be able to prop himself/herself up on his elbows. As far as learning toys go, you can encourage him/her to reach out and touch the many different textures, lights and rattles the Taggies mirror offers. Encourage him/her to do this alternating using both arms.
- Sometimes babies don’t tolerate tummy time so well and prefer an upright position. If this is your child’s case, trying placing the toy on the ground with the mirror side down and place your child on the wedge with his/her head at the highest point. Keep him/her entertained by placing your face in front of him/her or playing peek-a-boo. Please be sure to closely supervise your child in this position.
- As your baby grows, place the mirror on the sofa so he/she can practice pulling himself/herself up to standing position. Slide it a few feet down the sofa and encourage your child to cruise back and forth
- Then, place the sofa about one foot apart from another stable structure such as a coffee table and switch the mirror back and forth as your child reaches and steps to get a peek at his/herself. As your child gets stronger, gradually increase the space between the structures and soon your child will be walking!

Product Reviews
Most sites have product reviews. At ebeanstalk we do it differently. All our reviews happen BEFORE a product makes it on our site. Our team of child-experts looked at, tested and selected only the best toys. Then, they matched the toys to a child’s stage of development. Then they custom write an instruction card for each and every toy. This is the ebeanstalk review process. No other site does this; not even close. By conducting the review ahead of time, we ensure that our toys are the best and you can trust that the toys you are buying are matched to a child’s stage of development.
HOWEVER, we still want your feedback. If you'd like to tell us your impressions of a toy, please email us at feedback@ebeanstalk.com
