There are many stories waiting to be discovered and told.

- Little ones use their memory skills to try to be the first player to collect all five story cards about a single character.
- Once all of the players have collected all of their story cards, they arrange their cards to tell a story of their choice.
- This game encourages children to develop their imagination and creativity, as well as logical thinking and language skills.
- Parents may need to help little ones lay out the cards, but once they're launched, kids will want to return to the same story over and over again.

Why Our Experts Love It

You will be AMAZED at the stories the kids create.

We wish everyone got this game - it's that good. The Tell A Story board game receives our A+ seal of approval because it is a great way for your child to develop his/her imagination, social interaction and speaking skills.
  • From the name of this game it may seem obvious that it will let your child explore his/her imagination, but stories also have aspects of time, sequence and logic to them. And as your child moves into school age it becomes more and more important that he/she not only can think, but verbalize what he/she is thinking. This game practices the skills he/she needs to tell a story aloud.
  • To begin, have your child work on grouping all cards of one character together. Play with your child by placing the first and last picture of that character in correct order and have him/her fill in the middle three. Then listen to him/her as he/she puts together the tale of what happened to that character.
  • Then you can challenge your child by placing either the first or last picture, have the child order the other four and tell you the story. Soon your child will be able to sequence the story independently using words like first, then, next and finally.
  • Add an additional character tile to elaborate on the story within the Tell A Story game.
  • Play with different people and using the same cards, see how many different stories you can come up with.
  • This is a fun game to play in the car as well. Tell a story with each person adding a few sentences. You'll be amazed at the twists and turns it takes!
