Special Needs is a huge umbrella that includes people of all ages — babies, children, teens, adults as well as the elderly. It includes those with a specific clinical diagnosis such as Autism, Alzheimers, ADHD, Dyslexia, deafness, visual impairment, and stroke victims. It also covers those with no diagnosis but a specific area of developmental need such as cognition, behavior, physical (fine and gross motor skills), social, reading, numbers, speech, life skills, memory, cooperation and language development. The level of the Special Need can vary from individual to individual and encompasses a broad spectrum of functionality — from mild disability to profound impairment.

Ebeanstalk: When we founded the business in 2005, we set out to be focused on child development. Yes, we sell toys, books and games. But we are very selective in what we pick. That is why we have a team of experts (pictured below) that do the heavy lifting. They spend all their time with people with special needs and are early-intervention experts. Be it physical, behavioral, mental, academic and much, much more, they really know what developmental toys are most effective.

Linking Ebeanstalk & Special Needs: We always wanted to create a dedicated place within our site to Special Needs, but the timing wasn’t right. Now, after seven years in business, and having built a world-class collection of the best toys, books and games for kids we can finally create the Ebeanstalk Special Needs Web-Site.
